Fall Events

We had a very fun and busy fall. Fischer this year really liked pumpkins. We had quite the collection here at the house. He would arrange, roll and carry them all around the house. Warning this is a long post, I wasn't lying when I said we had a busy fall.

Blake, Fischer and I all got to experience the McDonald's Ranch for the first time (yes living here my whole life I had never been). Of course the day we picked was super hot but we all had a good time. Fischer enjoyed the horse/mule hay ride to the pumpkin patch. Being the little boy that he is crawling through the pumpkin price sign was his favorite part. He would shove his pumpkin through and then crawl through himself to get it. Silly boy! When we went inside the petting zoo Fischer only wanted to be next to the pig. Not sure if it's just because he likes to make the oink oink sound or what but he kept going back to this pot belly pig.

We also got to go to the Desert Botanical Gardens for their pumpkin festival. Avery and Fischer enjoyed running around the pumpkin patch so much so we couldn't get them to stay still for anything so we got some pretty funny pictures. While we were there we went and saw the butterfly exhibit. Fischer and Avery were so good about not trying to touch the butterflies and loved watching them fly around.

At the very end of our day as we were just finishing up lunch, Fischer and Avery were running around with some older kiddos, well Fischer wasn't paying attention and ran right into a rod iron chair. He hardly cried which was surprising once he ran over to me because he instantly had a big goose egg under his eye. This war wound ended up being a pretty good shiner that last a couple of weeks.

And yes who would have thought we could have still gone to a splash pad at the end of October but we did. We thought we'd get one more time in before it got to cold. Fischer's favorite splash pad in Scottsdale Quarter so cousin Lily came to join in the fun.

This is the second year we have attended the Highland's Harvest Festival. This year Fischer and Avery had a blast. They were able to play games and jump around in the bounce houses. It will be a fun tradition that we can hopefully do every year.

Fischer also got to paint his first pumpkin this year. Some friends hosted a pumpkin painting event for the kids which they all enjoyed. Fischer ended up with paint everywhere which thankfully came out of his clothes and off the chairs!

On Halloween Blake worked so Fischer and I went to trick or treat with friends. It was the same group we went with last year. Fischer was walking last year but was very slow and spent most of his time in the wagon so this year he was able to keep up with the bigger kids and got the hang of the whole process. He had a great time running around and of course getting candy.

2 Precious Baby Girls

These past few weeks have been quite an exciting time for our group of friends, we have had two precious baby girls born!

Welcome baby Karianne Olivia Winkler, born 9/17/11 weighing 7lbs 13oz and 20 inches long. Jed and Sharla didn't find out if they were having a boy or girl so it was a long awaited excitement to find out they had a little girl. Jed and Sharla have been preparing for Karianne for so long, they are going to be great parents. Little Karianne is very blessed to be a Winkler.

Welcome baby Kinley Elizabeth McCormick, born 9/30/11, weighing 7lbs 5 oz and 20 inches long. This little girl has a great, loving older sister, Reagan. Reagan has been super excited to meet her little sister and has talked about her non-stop in the past couple of months. Little Kinley is going to have so much love come her way from her older sister and of course her parents. Chad and Christine have been such great examples to us when it comes to parenting, we know that baby Kinley is blessed to have amazing role models as parents.

We are so excited to watch these two little girls grow up. And our next little boy will only be a few months younger than them and hopefully they will all be buddies.

Another Baby Boy on the Way!!

This year has been going so fast that somehow I've yet to blog about the newest addition to our family. Our newest little boy should be welcomed into our family the end of December or beginning of January. My due date is January 5th but I'll be having another c-section so we will be able to schedule a c-section date. It will be strange to know a day on which he will be here.

I'm 24 weeks and feeling good. I cherish and look forward to Fischer's nap time. I didn't realize how much I was on my feet while playing with Fischer during the day until now being pregnant. I try and make his nap time my rest time, which usually is me working but at least I'm sitting in one spot. I just got approval to start working out so I have started Turbo Kick which I think has helped me feel better. When I look back the first half of this pregnancy it has gone quickly, I only hope the second half goes just as quickly because so far it seems to be crawling.

We have been talking to Fischer about his little brother, trying to get him aware he soon will not be the only kid in our household. He knows there is a baby in my stomach but beyond that he doesn't really understand what is happening. Which I'm sure is to be expected!! We are working on getting his new bedroom put together. So hopefully in the next couple of weeks he'll be moving into a big boy bed. Then we can start getting the nursery updated.

We are excited to have another boy in the house. I'm sure the noise level will significantly increase along with the number of cars & trucks in our house. But it will be super fun! I hope Fischer is best friends with his younger brother!

10 Year Shadow Mountain High School Reunion

Wait what?!?! My 1o year high school reunion can't already have come and gone! When I got my facebook message about our 10 year reunion I was in denial, I just couldn't believe that I had been out of high school that long. Don't get me wrong a lot has changed in my life since I graduated from high school but when I think about high school I feel like it was just yesterday. And maybe a big part of that is that I still hang out with all the same people I did in high school. They are a regular part of my life (in fact I'm in bible studies with most of them) and all the good times we have had in high school come up often. It is amazing that we are all still friends and all still live in the same town. In fact 2 couples live only minutes away from Shadow Mountain High School so I now drive by my high school weekly.

So to start out our evening we gathered together for a pre-party. We looked at our year books and pictures to reminisce. We all carpooled to the reunion so that we would all arrive together. I know I felt better walking in with a large group than by myself. The reunion had it's awkward moments and it's fun moments. I'm glad I went, it was good to see and talk to people we hadn't seen in a long time.

Happy 2nd Birthday Fischer!

It's hard to believe that Fischer is now 2 years old. What a blessing he has been to us in these past 2 years. We are so grateful for God giving us Fischer. It's crazy to sit back and think about how much he has already changed. He started walking just a few days after his first birthday and now he prefers running (and I have to say he's pretty darn quick). His vocabulary has has EXPLODED!!! We can now have little conversations with him and it's so much fun. The best thing he says right now is "I Love You Mommy & Daddy," gosh there is nothing better than hearing those words. I know he still doesn't fully grasp the concept of what it means but I soak it in every time he says it. He has also shown a huge interest is cars, trucks, tractors, airplanes, motorcycles and trains (anything that moves and has wheels). Everyday it feels like he is learning and new type of tractor or truck, and trust me there are way more than I even knew about but now I find myself driving down the road talking to him about excavators or tow trucks or fire trucks. The other major change is how much Fischer's hair has grown since turing one. He was a bald baby and had just a teeny bit of hair by the time he was one. In the last year we have had to get him a hair cut and even then his hair is so wavy and continued to grow.

Blake and I have had a fun time looking back at pictures of Fischer since he was born! Time fly's by so quickly so I'm so glad we have TONS of pictures to look back on and remember all the little milestones Fischer has had.

Fischer we love you so much! You are very special to us. You have such a loving, sweet, outgoing personality. You love to be the center of attention and to make people laugh. You will do just about anything to get people to smile. We love that you are all boy, you never cease to amaze us how quickly you can figure something out. You are going to be the best older brother! Fischers 2nd Birthday Party

This past weekend we got to celebrate Fischer's 2nd birthday with our good friends and family. Fischer loves all things that sit on wheels but tractors seem to be at the top of his list. So what better to a 2 year old than to have a tractor theme birthday party. We celebrated with an ice cream bar and swimming since it was going to be over 100 degrees outside. Then we also had other snack food which we named all things tractor/farm (Oreo's - Tractor Tires, Doritos - Barn Shingles, Veggie Platter - Vegetable Garden, Rice Crispy Treats - Hay Bales, Trail Mix - Dirt & Watermelon - Watermelon Patch). As you can tell I had way too much fun with the tractor theme.

Seattle/Victoria Trip

We were very blessed to be able to travel with the entire Robinson/Suppanz family to Seattle and Victoria, Canada. It was a very awesome week to not worry about work and enjoy being with our family. It spoiled Blake and I a little bit that we got 10 days straight to spend all day together with Fischer. We started our trip by going to Victoria, Canada. Our hotel was right behind The Empress Hotel and a few blocks from the bay. Fischer loved to stand at the giant window and watch the sea planes take off and land.

While in Victoria we traveled to the Batchart Gardens. This was our first big adventure of the trip. The gardens were amazing and so beautiful. Although I do have to say, sight seeing with kids is quite a bit different. Timing the 40 minute one way bus ride between naps and meal times so all kids would be happy or at least not cranky was the first challenge. The gardens were breathtaking but we did walk through them pretty briskly, trying to enjoy the scenery while entertain kids who really could care less about 100's of different kinds of roses. Lots of puffs and cheerios were eaten by all kids. And not to mention 8 adults with 3 strollers trying to read the handicap map so we could avoid steps (which we found was impossible), numerous times we had to all carry strollers and kids down many flights of stairs. Fischer was able to run around in the grass a few times to let out energy which helped. We also found a carousal that Fischer and Lily LOVED. But all in all we survived and were able to enjoy everything as best we could. Fischer even fell asleep on the bus on the way back to our hotel.

The rest of our time in Victoria was spent relaxing and enjoying the great weather. There were some amazing parks just down the street from our hotel, where we took Fischer just about everyday to let him run around. One night we took water taxis to eat on the Fisherman's Wharf. Where we ate at a local place with some great seafood. On our last day there the ladies got dressed up and had afternoon tea at The Empress Hotel. The hotel is beautiful and they host a great afternoon tea.

This trip had a lot of firsts for Fischer. It was his first airplane ride, first ride on a sea ferry and first time being out of Arizona. He was a great little boy and traveled very easily. His favorite part was going to the upper deck on the sea ferry where it was very windy and you got splashed every once in awhile.

The next part to our trip was spending a few days in Seattle. We had never been to Seattle before. It is a very active town. Our hotel was only blocks from the pier and the Pike's Marketplace. We were able to walk to everything. We walked to Pike's Market everyday to get fresh fruit. The fruit was honestly the best I've ever had, so fresh and perfectly ripe. We really enjoyed just walking around the town minus the super hills which made pushing a stroller and 30+ lb kid around a workout.

One day we took Fischer to the Aquarium. Their aquarium was very big. Not only did they have all kinds of fish and huge fish tanks but they also had otters, difference kinds of seals in huge tanks where you could see them underwater and on top of the land. There was a place you could touch starfish and all different kinds of sea creatures. Fischer's favorite part (which we did a few times) was touching all the starfish.

Another day we rode the monorail and headed up to the top of the Space Needle. Seeing the whole town from above was fun. The same weekend while we were there was Seattle's annual Sea Fair Weekend. This meant that all kinds of navy planes were always flying around. The navy also had U.S. Destroyers docked in the pier that you could tour. So while on top of the Space Needle we got a cool view of the airplanes flying around. We really enjoyed Seattle and hope we can go back.

Summer Recap

We have had a pretty low key summer. Between taking a few trips up north to my parents cabin we have just been trying to stay cool. Blake took Fischer to the baseball all star festivities which they both had a great time. We go to splash pads at least once a week all over the valley. Fischer loves water and enjoys running around and around in the water. We've made a few trips to the zoo early in the morning, I can't wait until it cools off so we can spend longer there. And then any other extra chance we get we go swimming. A pretty fun summer if you ask me!!

Papa and Grammy felt bad he didn't have a chair to watch cartoons so they bought him this green chair to sit in instead of the brown box.

July 4th

We were able to go up north and spend July 4th at my parents cabin! It was wonderful, great weather and very relaxing. Fischer enjoyed feeding the squirrels from the back porch. This is a ritual my family has been doing every since I can remember. We all grab a cup of coffee and head outsides to enjoy the great morning air and feed the squirrels peanuts.

Fischer also finally got over his fear of riding on a motorcycle. He LOVES motorcycles but went through a phase where once they were turned on he wanted nothing to do with them. Fischer and daddy were able to go riding around.

Playing in the dirt! What boy doesn't love that! My parents bought him some trucks that stay at the cabin that he can use outside all he wants. He sat and played for quite a while with his new trucks and dirt.

The rest of the time we hiked, watched some cartoons and walked down to the park near by. It was fun weekend, we can't wait to go back again!

Fischer's First Hair Cut

So we finally gave in and took Fischer for his first hair cut. We loved his long curly hair but finally came to realize that it was getting out of control. We decided to take him to a kids only hair place in hopes he would enjoy his first hair cut. Here are some before pictures as you can see his crazy, untamable hair.

He did so good. We of course weren't sure how he would handle it but he was such a trooper. You will see he had two cars in his hand the whole time. He may have had a death grip on them but hey whatever to help make him happy, you can always count cars making him happy. They even used the electronic trimers around his ears and he didn't care.

The final product, he looks so handsome. He really was such a good boy.

Easter

So this is just a few months late but better late then never. We started Easter by going to church and of course getting pictures of Fischer and Avery. A tradition we started on their first Easter. You know those pictures we can use in their wedding video someday if they get married. After church we went to the Robinson's for all the kids to open their Easter baskets and for Fischer to do his first Easter egg hunt. Their were matchbox cars in each of the eggs so he quickly figured out what to do.

Blake worked this Easter so when he got home the next day we had him open our Easter basket to him and did an Easter egg hunt in our backyard. He loved finding the eggs and once he found them he would stick them in his play fort. Then crawled up there and just sat and ate all the goodies with put into his eggs.

So what have we been doing lately...well unpacking boxes (yes still), working on the house (which is a continuous project) and trying to keep up with Fischer. He has changed in so many ways in the past couple of months. His vocabulary has exploded, he's had a growth spurt, and is just becoming more and more of a big boy. Thought I'd catch everyone up with pictures.

Shamrock Farms

We took Fischer out to Shamrock Farms with some other families from our church. It's not close but totally worth it. They show you all around the farm leaving nothing to hide. We were very impressed with how it's run. Fischer did enjoy watching the tractors more than anything. HAHA

They stopped to let the kids play half way through the tour at a fun play area.

They kept a few calfs that were under a month old so you could feed and pet them.
Then at the end everyone got free milk and some ice cream. It had all been made fresh within that week. It was very good. Here's a picture of all the kiddos.

Las Vegas - Blake's 30th B-Day Celebration

Our 5 Year Anniversary

This past February 18th we celebrated our 5 year anniversary. We decided to do something special since it was our 5 year. So we decided to eat at the Compass Room at the Hyatt downtown and then stay at the Hyatt. Neither of us had ever been to the Compass Room Restaurant. It was pretty neat to be that high above Phoenix and get to see everything at night. We very much enjoyed the restaurant and walking around downtown.

It's always fun to look back at our wedding day. What an amazing, unforgettable day it was. Every year we pull out our wedding album and reminisce about everything that happened that day. I still can remember how I felt as I was walking down the isle, thats something every girl dreams of all her life and something she will never forget.

Transportation Day

Fischer, my dad and I got to attend "Transportation Day" at a friends preschool. We were in heaven for Fischer, he LOVES trucks. They had a city bus, mail truck, garbage truck, motorhome, hot air ballon, police car, fire truck, motorcycle, semi-truck, double decker bus, boat and the best part was they were able to get a black hawk helicopter to fly in and land for all the kids to see. It was a perfect morning to spend with my little boy.

Blogging Vacation

The past couple of months I have been on a blogging vacation. So I don't blame anyone if they decided to stop checking our family blog. In fact I could be writing this and no one will read it. But that's ok I'll still share my heart. Our family has gone through quite a few changes in the past couple of months. And I think speaking for myself I'm finally getting back into a normal routine, Blake would tell you he barley missed a beat. He was able to say good bye to our house and immediately feel at home in our new house (which I completely admired). Our house was put up for auction on January 3rd. So right after Christmas we began to box up our house slowly in preparation for that day. Our house didn't sell at auction they tried two different times so it was reverted back to the bank to try and be sold. We were given the usual 2 week notice and fortunately knew where we were going to move. But knowing where we were going to live didn't making the pack up part any easier for me. Having to pack up 4 years worth of items and memories was tough. But the worst came as we had to do a final walk through of each room before we officially handed over our keys to the bank. Walking into each room and remembering everything that had happened and then looking at it then empty. I even cried walking into the upstairs bathroom remembering Fischer's first bath and how we got to watch him grow from using a bath sling to being able to sit up all by himself. As hard as it was I constantly kept reminding myself to keep an eternal perspective. These physical things weren't what mattered but it was our family and memories that we will take with us wherever we live. So fast forward 2 months later and we are getting settled into our new rental home. The house (was built in 1952) needed quite a bit of work but with the help of family the house is looking better and better. The to do list is still quite long but little by little we are crossing things off. Not having a dishwasher or disposal has taken a little bit to get used to but that too will eventually get fixed. The back yard is to die for! It is HUGE! And the dogs and Fischer are loving the open area to run around in. Oh and not to mention this house was the house my great grandparents lived in, it's still strange to me to think that I'm living in a house where I grew up coming over for sleep overs with my great grandparents. I will post pictures soon. Not blogging has been eating at me, obviously not enough to blog in these past couple of months but has just been lingering in the back of my mind. At the end of 2009 I was able to print this awesome book for all my blogs and pictures and ever since I promised myself I would do that every year as an easy way to follow our family. So I'm going to now finish up my posts from 2010 and the beginning of 2011. Nothing like posting about Christmas in the beginning of March! HA So read down if you want but I promise I'm back from my blogging vacation!!

Zoo Lights

It has been years since I've been to Zoo Lights. Amanda and I took our kiddos out for the night. I have to say Fischer was very mesmerized by all the lights, I wasn't really sure if he would care. He sat quiet in his stroller just staring at all the lights. We also got him a light sword which actually was quite dangerous as he waved it around not carrying if anyone was standing next to him or not. He enjoyed watching it swish through the dark. It was a fun night out! :)

2011 Here We Come!!

Our new years was pretty uneventful. Blake worked again this year so Fischer, the dogs and I all had a sleep over at Lance, Amanda & Lily's. If I remember correctly we hardly made it to the watch the count down and then were off to bed. We of course had to get a picture of Fischer and Lily before they went to bed. It's not easy to get a toddler to stay still for any long period of time. I think I'm bribing him with cherrios.

One final 2010 picture to make you smile!!! I can't believe another year has gone by!! 2011 I'm sure you will fly by just as fast as last year.

Cousins

One thing I'm so excited for is watching Fischer as he grows up with his cousins! Most of my cousins lived in town but we really only saw each other a few times year at holidays. Fischer gets to see his cousins weekly. I know they are all going to grow up and not just be family but friends. Sorry Lily and Noah if Fischer teaches them a few unwanted things, that comes with the territory! I had the opportunity to catch up with 2 of my cousins over the holiday break. Once we all got older and more busy it was harder to stay in touch, well thankfully for facebook we semi get to see what is going on in each other lives. But it was so good to actually sit down over dinner and wine to talk face to face. I love these ladies!! I hope that Fischer has just as many fun memories as I have with my cousins.

Merry Christmas

We had a very busy Christmas again this year! We traveled from house to house seeing all sides of our families. But it was well worth it! We started on Christmas Eve after the service heading over to the Robinson family. We opened gifts for the kiddos first and then put them all to bed while we enjoyed our dinner opening our gifts later. The guys were very excited about the new fireworks law so of course fireworks were lit a few times during the night.

Christmas morning we got up and headed over to my Nanny and Papa's house. We enjoyed a great brunch. Then it was off to the Bennett family. Fischer of course was spoiled by my parents aka "santa".

Then last but not least we headed home to open some gifts just the 3 of us. Fischer is really into Curious George so this year as his yearly ornament we got him a Curious George one, that he was very excited to put on the tree. We also got him a new Curious George book of course.

What a great Christmas it was!

Christmas Festivities

Yet again this year Christmas is coming way to quickly. Just this week we got our christmas tree and christmas lights up. Every year since we've been married we have had a artificial tree. It has been so nice to put up the tree early and then leave it up until we find time to take it down (which is always way later than one wants to admit to keeping up their tree). But this year we wanted to make Christmas a little more special so we decided to buy a real tree. It was an adventure but isn't that what makes is so memorable. We are loving having a real tree. The smell of a real tree is un-like any candle you can buy. And we were so worried about Fischer messing with the tree and so far he is not bothering it.

I also took Fischer to go see Santa. I wasn't really sure how he would react to Santa this year. He was fine until the moment I sat him on Santa's lap and walked away then the crying started. Not to blame him, sitting on some scary, stranger's lap dressed in a crazy outfit all alone is not comforting to a 15 month old. We got one picture of him not crying and that was because I gave him some cherrios to eat.

The first weekend in December our church had a festival called Deck the Warehouse. It's something they have done every year. This year they had a real horse drawn carriage that went around the Scottsdale Airpark. But the best part was a toddler area they had blocked off with hay bales. I was able to let Fischer run around safely with all of his friends while I enjoyed yummy Christmas treats with coffee. Everyone who knows what a 15 month old is like knows how nice it is to not have to chase them every moment of the day.

Toddlerhood

So now that our little boy is over a year he's officially starting toddlerhood. Toddlerhood that sounds so old to me. I can't believe that in a few days he'll be 15 months old. He's growing and learning so much each day. It's amazing the joy we get watching him learn each new thing. We've been on some fun adventures in the past few months, gone hiking, gone to the zoo, went up north for a few days and just had some good fun hanging at the park.

Some things that I never want to forget about this time: he knows where his nose, tongue and belly button are, he can clap and give you a high five or head bang, he can hear an airplane and garbage truck coming from miles away, he points at everything and makes this cute sound when he does as if he's saying "look what I see" and he loves to read books (I love to watch him sitting in our play area flipping through pages of his favorite books). He bring us such joy and helps us really appreciate all the small details of life.

Halloween Festivities

This year for Halloween Fischer was a cute little tiger. We went to the Highlands Harvest Festival for the first time. It was so much fun. They had a horse drawn hay ride and many games for all the kiddos. Fischer and Avery enjoyed watching all the kids as they rode around in our wagon. Then on Halloween Fischer and I went over to a friends house to go with their older kids to trick or treat.

And I had to take a moment to reflect on Fischer's cute costume last year a cute giraffe.

Fischer's 1st Birthday Party

So this post is only 2 months late! Somehow these last 2 months have disappeared into thin air. I finally have a few minutes to sit and reflect and post about Fischer's 1st birthday party. It was a great day! As they say the first birthday party is for the parents and boy is that true. I had visions on hand making everything so I had to rein in my thoughts to something more realistic. I did make Fischer's cake and decorated it with fondant toy links. Those toy links were Fischer's favorite toy so it only fit that I put them on his cake. Then what is better in the hot summer than grilling out and swimming in the pool! Everything turned out perfect. And most of all Fischer LOVED his birthday cake.

One other special thing that I made for Fischer is a birthday banner. This is something that I will bring to every birthday party for him. I saw the idea on a blog and loved it. I even built in a little pocket behind the cupcake to someday put a special treat in it for Fischer so he knows when he sees his birthday banner to look for it. For his first birthday we hung it up behind him where he ate his cake but of course didn't get a good picture of it. I did take some pictures of it as I made it though.

Noah Paul Suppanz

I didn't think I would be blogging about Noah Paul Suppanz for another couple months. Jamie went into the hospital yesterday morning after she hadn't felt Noah move in a few days. They were able to find his heart beat but started to figure out that he was in distress. So the doctor decided to do an emergency c-section to get Noah out. He was born at 11:26am 9/21/10 weighing just 4 lbs, 2 days shy of 33 weeks. He is so precious and is already adjusting so well. He's in the NICU and will be for awhile. Jamie is also doing well considering everything she went through yesterday emotionally and recovering from a c-section. Noah is so precious! We are so excited he has joined our family. Blake and I are so excited to become and Aunt and Uncle again! Who would have thought that Fischer's, Lily's and now Noah's birthdays would all be within 4 weeks of each other. I see some busy summers in the future for us!

We love you so much Noah!!! You are such a blessing to us already!!!

Fischer's Birthday

On Fischer's actual birthday Blake was working at the fire station. So my parents came over for breakfast and then Fischer and I drove up to the fire station to have lunch with Blake. And then it was back home to bake Fischer's cake for his birthday party and get together all the other last minute details. We decided to start a fun tradition that if Blake is working on Fischer's birthday that we will drive to the station to hang out with him.

Lily Mae Robinson

Lily Mae Robinson was born 9/10/10 at 10:30pm. She was 8.2oz and 20 inches long. Amanda ended up having a c-section because Lily's heart rate was too high and then too low while she was pushing. So after many hours in the waiting room we finally got to meet the precious Lily Mae around 11:30pm. Amanda and Lily were doing great while we were all there in the recovery room with her. There was something so special about the moment we found out I was an Aunt and Blake was an Uncle. The love that we instantly felt for Lily was so amazing and special. We can't wait to spoil her rotten! :) She is absolutely perfect. And I can only image the fun times we will have together when Fischer and Lily (and future Noah) will get to grow up together.

We love you Lance, Amanda and Lily! :)

You are truly a gift from God and feel so blessed that He choose us to be your parents. We have watched you grow so much in this last year. We have watched you eat solid foods, learn how to sit up, roll over, then crawl and now almost walk, speak your first word, go from no teeth to eight and what has been most exciting is watching your personality transform. Fischer's 1st Camping Trip

Last weekend we all headed up north camping. I can say it was an adventure. For the most part Fischer was a good sport about everything. The last night he decided to wake up about 2am and was not satisfied hanging out in our tent. So this lead to walking him around camp in the pitch black and then loading him up in the car and driving him around for a couples hours so he would get some sleep. We arrived back at camp about 5am after driving around and decided to sleep in the car (with it running) until Fischer woke up. So despite the lack of sleep Blake and I got the last night we had a good time. It was good time to spend with family and friends (even celebrated Dianne's birthday). Blake and I have always loved camping. There is just something fun about being outside, cooking with a camp stove and sitting in front of a camp fire (cooking smores of course). We know Fischer will adjust and hopefully enjoy camping too (because he really doesn't have a choice since we will all be going camping again). HAHA

My dad surprised us and brought a metal bucket so Fischer could take a bath. We heated up the water over the camp stove. Fischer very much enjoyed talking his bath in the great outdoors. With him still crawling and well just being a boy a bath was definitely needed.

11 Months Old

Oh man 1 more month until our little boy turns 1!!!! I can't believe it!! Time has gone toooooooo fast that is for sure. He is growing and changing every day. He is growing up into a little boy. Which brings such a mix of emotions for me. Some days I wish I could push a pause button to keep him so little and precious. He has a fascination for wheels or anything round (balls, water bottles). He studies the wheels on his toy cars. Maybe that means he wants to be a engineer! HA :)

He loves climbing up stairs and would do it all day if we let him.

He has also discovered the dishwasher. He likes to "help".

He loves watching Blake play the guitar.

He's getting more hair, even enough to have this bad hair day.

Each year we take the dogs to have them shaved to help keep them cool during the summer. This year we were having a hard time trying to find the money to spend on clipping them so I decided I would do it myself. I still have all my clippers and tools that I used to shave horses so how much different could a dog be? We'll a lot I came to find out! Dogs don't hold still as well and have more details! HA But after spending a whole day off and on shaving Bunker I got it done!

Look at his hair, it was a long mess even after his bath. He gave my clippers a challenge.

Amanda's Baby Shower

4th of July at the Cabin

Fischer and I got to spend the 4th of July weekend at my parents cabin in Prescott. It was so nice and the weather was beautiful. Blake came up Monday after he got off work and we were all able to then spend another couple of days together. For the past couple of years our cabin has been the host for a 4th of July party for everyone who has cabins around us and even some people that live further down the road. It was fun to get to met some new neighbors that have moved up there recently. I have so many memories growing up taking trips to the cabin. I'm excited that we will be able to take Fischer up there and he will get to have his own memories up there.

We discovered that Fischer loves watching the animals. He would spend hours watching all the birds and squirrels from the back porch. The squirrels come beg for peanuts and my parents put bird seed out on bird feeders so there is always some sort of creature around.

Trip to the Fire Station

On our way up to my parents cabin we stopped and dropped Blake off at work. It was Fischer's first time at the fire house. He loved it! There was so much to see an explore.

He even got to check out all the stuff inside and pretend to drive.

Happy 4th Birthday Bunker & Bailey

Our puppies just had their 4th Birthday!

A lot has changed since we have brought them home 4 years ago. We were living in our 2 bedroom townhouse. So when Blake and I were working all day we set up this little path so the puppies could either be in our kitchen or outside but the problem was there was about a 3 foot stretch of carpet in between the kitchen and back door and wouldn't you know it that seemed to be where they would potty! Not on the tile in the kitchen or outside, haha. We soon got them potty trained but then mysteriously we would come home and things would be off our dinning room table on the floor. Now you see we had a gate set up so the couldn't get out of their little area, well little did we know that Bailey figured out how to get out and the proceed to climb on a chair and get onto our dinning room table. Before we would get home she would somehow get back into the gated area we made. It took us the LONGEST time to figure out what was happening until one day I witnessed her in the middle of the act. If only I had a camera with me to catch the surprised look on her face. Needless to say they loved it when we bought our house and they had their very own backyard to run around in. And now they have Fischer, the 3 of them seem to travel from room to room together. Bunker and Bailey have to be where Fischer is at, afraid they are going to miss out on something. They are such sweet puppies to him, they let him pull on their ears (he is still learning to be gentle) and crawl over them. And one of their new favorite spots to sit is right below the high chair when Fischer is eating. Go figure!

We were able to get out of town last weekend. It was so nice to enjoy the great weather, relax and play games. We all decided to go for a hike and we used Lance & Amanda's new baby backpack carrier and Fischer loved it. He had a hugh smile on his face the whole time. Both Blake and Lance gave it a try during our hike.

9 Month Stats

This past week Fischer had his 9 month check up. And we also had our last appointment with his neurologist at Phoenix Children's hospital. His head is looking good and growing as it should with no other concerns so his doctor told us we didn't have to go back. A HUGE praise! We have one healthy little boy. Here are his 9 month stats:

Keeping him entertained while waiting for the neurologist. Our appointment was running very late. But what better way to get a good laugh and some entertainment than with a blown up glove

This is why I had to make the crib rail protectors. Now every time I go get him from a nap this is how I find him. He's just so excited of this new found skill. Which of course doesn't just apply in the crib but on every piece of furniture he finds a way to pull himself up.

What have we been up to?

I've been MIA with my blogging lately. So what have we been up to? We'll work has been a little bit slower for me (which is a good break from the past couple of months). So I've had a few sewing projects I have been wanted to attack. The first project was a bag that a friend of mine made and gave me the instructions for, you can see here on her blog. It was pretty easy for a beginner sewer like me. Which I did have the best instructions that were color coded with pictures. Thanks Heather!

Then my next project ended up being a last minute thing. Little Fischer has figured out how to pull himself up in his crib. Which is actually quite cute. Until we found teeth marks on both sides of the crib! When he stands the rail is mouth level so heck why not chew on it, he chews on everything else. So after looking online for crib protectors we realized that it could take up to 2 weeks for them to arrive because no one carried the kind we need in store. So since my sewing machine was out I decided to make my own. It was a very easy project and they ended up perfect. I was pleasantly surprised with myself. So now he can chew all he wants and it will not dent the wood.

My last project was something that I've been putting off because I had NO idea how to do it. Blake had a hole in one of his favorite part of jeans that he's been asking me for a LONG time to fix. So I decided to tackle it and once I sat down and thought about it, I was able to figure out how to fix it. The jeans looks pretty darn good if you ask me. No one will be able to tell that there was a hole when they are on.

I'm very excited to keep on sewing. Hmmm what should I do next? Fischer look out I might start making your clothes! HA

1st Swim Lesson

This week Fischer has his first swim lesson and his first time in a pool. He loves his bath time so I figured he would love swimming. And boy was I right! He was splashing and loving every moment of being in that pool. Well accept for once when he inhaled a huge mouth full of water unintentionally. So now every week we are going to go to Aqua-Tots for swim lessons. There was only 1 other little boy in his class who was around the same age as Fischer. I was surprised to see how much we really did do. He practiced getting out of the pool from the side and the step, how to float on his back, how to turn from back to stomach and how to army crawl on the side of the pool (all of these of course with help from me). I was so proud that he did so well!

Birthday & Mother's Day Weekend

This past week was my 27th Birthday (yep now I'm considered late 20's ugh) and my 1st Mother's Day. It was a very fun & eventful weekend. Amanda was also graduating at NAU with her Master's so the Robinson/Bennett/Jackson/Suppanz clan all drove up to Flagstaff on Friday for graduation and then spent the night. It was so awesome to watch Amanda walk after all the hard work she has put in these past 2 years in getting her Master's in Counseling. We were all very proud of her! I would post pictures from the great event but I left my camera when we were all taking pictures outside and when we went back to grab it it was gone :( So as soon as I get some pictures from Amanda I'll post them.

So Friday after graduation and before dinner we all came back and checked into the hotel, we thought we'd give Fischer a chance to nap before dinner. As we all sat outside and enjoyed the amazing weather we could hear Fischer talking and playing instead of taking a nap. We'll to our surprise he was actually playing in his poop. Yep he had somehow figured out how to take off his diaper and then with his diaper off he pooped!!! He had poop EVERYWHERE. All over the pack n play and all over him. So clothes in all we stuck him in the tub and slowly started to get everything cleaned up. Boy was that fun to clean up! HAHA His new nickname has become little stinker.

To start my birthday day off we all got up Saturday and went and had the best breakfast in Flagstaff at a place called Mike & Ronda's!! It was so good and a perfect start to my birthday! I also share my birthday with our friend John Anderson (Bri his wife is in my wives bible study) so to celebrate our birthday's we went out to dinner at Benihana's in Scottsdale with some friends. They offer a discount off your bill in the month of your birthday. So in our group of friends we have quite a few May birthdays, so it worked out perfectly. Now not to our server who was shocked when 1 person from each couple had a May birthday and asked for the discount on their bill! Little did Benihana know what was coming when they offered that deal.

Then Sunday was Mother's Day. After church we had our families over to our house for a BBQ. It was a great afternoon of just relaxing, hanging out and watching the Suns game. I really enjoyed my 1st Mother's Day. I love every moment of being Fischer's mom. I couldn't help but to reflect on how much my life has changed (for the better of course) since becoming a mom. Fischer brings such joy and happiness into our lives.

Welcome Baby Grace Yule

We were so excited to meet little Grace Yule. She was born April 23rd at 11:29am, weighing 8lbs 3 oz and 21 in long. Kory & Kerri already have the sweetest little boy Hudson who just turned 2 and now is a big brother. It has been so much fun to watch their family grow. We have had the honor to be apart of their lives since before they were married. We already know they are the greatest parents and are so dedicated to their kids. Little Grace & Hudson are so lucky to have them as parents.

She is so precious. Grace is now the 7th baby born from my wive's bible study group (with 2 more baby girls on the way). Welcome to our family Grace! :)

8 MONTHS OLD

Yes you heard me right, Fischer turned 8 months old. It seems hard to believe. He's gotten so big so fast. I feel like in the blink of an eye I'm going to be typing that he's turning 1. Sometimes I wish I could push a pause button.

Fischer has had a pretty eventful week. He has officially outgrown his infant car seat so we had to get a big boy car seat. Because he's so big yet not 1 yet we had to find a bigger car seat that goes both rear & front facing. And then I also went to get him from one of his naps this week only to find him sitting up in his crib. So he has learned how to pull himself up to a sitting position. So I immediately had Blake lower his crib all the way to the bottom because if there is one thing, Fischer has no fears and I have no doubt that he would have tried to climb out.

And here he is in one of his last rides in this car seat. It was such a tight fit that you kinda had to push in to fit in it! :) HA

rolling all over the place, he hasn't figured out that crawling is quicker

sleeping on his stomach almost every time he sleeps

making more noises than I ever imagined, including a happy high pitch scream (he must be testing is vocal cords to sing on the praise team at church)

in love with cars & trucks, well and pretty much any vehicle that moves and if makes load noises even better

such an easy going boy, he will go anywhere, nap anywhere and do anything with me

He has a smile that just melts my heart! :) Happy 8 month Birthday Buddy!

Afternoon at the park

Today Fischer and I got to spend the afternoon at McCormick Railroad Park with the Bowers. It was so much fun. We got to ride the train, the carousel and just hang out. Zach's 5 year old nephew Sam came in town so we decided the railroad park would be the perfect afternoon to keep him busy. And what better way to end the afternoon than with a scoop of ice cream!

Sam was sweet and took a break from playing on the play ground to come take a picture with us.

The carousel was fun, Fischer enjoyed riding on the horse with me. He liked when it was all the way up at the top because he could see himself in the mirror on the inside.

3rd Annual Robinson Tea

We had perfect weather for our annual Robinson Girl's tea. In the past we have had it in November but this year we decided to enjoy our spring weather and have it in April and it was perfect. It was such a fun afternoon of drinking tea and eating scones. I mean what else does a girl need?! It's always so much fun to see all the fun hats people wear.

My grandma has a few hats from her great-grandmother, they are over 100 years old. And this year she wore another one, it was so beautiful.

Easter Sunday

We had so much fun on Fischer's first Easter. Blake had to work at the fire station so Fischer and I started our day going to church. Resurrection Sunday is always such a meaningful service. Worship was such a great time to celebrate together that our Lord has risen. After church we had to get Fischer and Avery together for an Easter picture. Fischer being such a good friend let Avery chew on his chew toy during the pictures.

Then we went over to the Place's house for a yummy potluck. This is a tradition we have been doing for quite awhile. It's a good time of fellowship and relaxing outside enjoying the great weather we have right now. This year there were 4 new babies (next year with the other new additions to the Robinson family the kiddos are going to bunk up in rooms together). Fischer got to open his Easter baskets from his grandparents. He got some fun new toys and clothes. He had such a good & eventful Easter morning that he took a 3 hour nap while we were there, tired boy!!

Blake's Skiing Trip

About a month ago the guys went on a ski trip to Durango. They all had so much fun. Most of the guys snowboarded but Blake and a few others skied. Blake is a GREAT skier and as you can image in a group of guys they all were doing jumps and crazy things. But thankfully wearing helmets is in style so they all were wearing them! :) Blake being the tech savvy guy collected all of the video footage and pictures from the trip made a short video. He did such a good job I wanted to brag about it and post it for all to see.

My new venture

So I decided I wanted to start sewing again. I took a sewing class about 3 years ago and LOVED it! We made everything from clothes to pillows to bags. So for my next birthday after that sewing class I got my very own sewing machine. It's something I've always secretly like to do but never really made the time to do it. So needless to say my sewing machine has spent most of it's life in my closet. When I was little I used to use my mom's sewing machine and make clothes for my dog, yes my dog!! HA So now I'm finding time to do it and I'm really enjoying it. Here is my first big project that I finished. Since Blake lost all that weight a year ago he had a stack of t-shirts in our guest closet of firefighter shirts he's collected from all over. Every place we travel he likes to trade or get a fire shirt from the local department. He didn't want to toss these shirts but since they were too big and couldn't wear them, I thought perfect...I can make a quilt. So as a surprise to him I started making this before Christmas and then finished to shortly after that (it's just taken me awhile to blog about it). So if you've seen firefighters shirts they usually have a their local emblem on the front of the shirt and then a bigger picture on the back. I wanted to incorporate both of those parts of the shirt in this quilt. So I took the little emblem and sewed them in the corners of each square. It was like a giant puzzle because not all shirts had something on the front and back. But it was so much fun. Blake loved it so much he wanted to take it his station and use it at work. But with all the hard work that went into this I couldn't part with it, selfishly I wanted to show it off at the house. So to compromise I told Blake I would make him another quilt to take to work with him that he can use at the station. So he brought my home 20 more shirts (all from his department) to create another quilt. So I'm excited to start this next quilt, I will post pictures as soon as I'm done. I'm going to try another style on this next one because it will need to be washable. So here's a picture of the first one I made! It now resides folded on the side of our couch, the perfect blanket to keep warm.

I also decided that I'm going to re-arrange a little nook area at the top of our stairs as my sewing area. It's an area that isn't be used right now (just has a desk sitting there, which neither of us use) so I'm hoping that by leaving my sewing machine out I will use it more.

Sweet 6 Month Pictures

What perfect pictures these are of our little guy. We did a 6 month photo shoot with our good friend Bri Anderson. Bri and I became friends when she joined our wife's bible study about 4 years ago. We always knew she had a special gift of taking pictures and truly capturing the personality of who she's taking pictures of. So she has just started her own photo company Brianna Anderson Photography and we are all so excited for her. She did such an amazing job, Thank you Bri for these awesome pictures. Bri also was the one who took Fischer's newborn pictures which you can see here.

Fischer's Dedication

Last Sunday we had Fischer dedicated at church. It was such a special time. Blake and I committed in front of family and friends that we will raise him in a household that focuses on Jesus Christ and acknowledged that he is a truly a gift from God. This is something that we don't take lightly. God has blessed us with such an amazing son which we can only give Him all the glory and honor. As a church body everyone also made a commitment to stand up along side of us to help raise Fischer. We are so blessed to have such a loving and caring church body that we can call family.

It meant so much to us that close friends came to be there with us.

My grandparents came to celebrate with us too.

Then after church we went to Blake's parents house for lunch and fellowship. And after our little guy's big morning he needed a well deserved nap! :)

Happy 29th Birthday!!!!!!

I love birthday's! It's such a special day to just celebrate a person! I'm so lucky to be married to such an amazing man. Blake would do anything for our family and works so hard to do that. He is also such a mans man, which I adore. He enjoys working on cars (which yes my car always seems to have something that needs to be worked on), take care of yard work and other things around our house (which includes building things or making plans on what to remodel/fix up next), doing my to-do list that I make for him weekly and all of this after he's done working his 2 jobs. But what I love most is that before doing any of this he loves spending time with Fischer and I and ALWAYS makes it a point to do that.

I can't wait to see what the next years bring. I'm excited to spend the rest of my life with you. Happy Birthday Babe!

This last week we also gave him sweet potatoes for the first time. He didn't seem to care one way of the other. I don't think he'll be one to care much about what he eats! HA

He's also sitting up better on his own and enjoys seeing the world from this new view.

Happy 6 Month Birthday

Fischer is 6 months old today! Yep you heard me right, 6 months old!! I know I can't believe it either. Time has gone by so fast. What I'm having the hardest time is that this means in another 6 months he will be a year old, and that just seems unimaginable. And if the next 6 months go as fast as these last 6 months have gone than I better start planning now for his 1st birthday!!!! haha I'm loving this stage that he is in. His personality is really starting to come out, he acts like such a little boy. And I can't do a post without pictures, so here's some pictures starting from just a few hours old to today.

Anniversary Dinner

Blake had to be in class most of the day on our anniversary so I decided it would be easiest if I cooked dinner and we hang out at home. Blake bought be this super fun cookbook for Christmas called "Chicken". It's a whole cookbook filled with recipes that include chicken. I'm in love with it, ever since Blake's diet we are huge chicken fans. So I decided to branch out and make a chicken tomato bisque soup and then sweet and sour chicken. It turned out sooo good! I know werid but I had to take a picture of our meal. And for dessert I made our favorite confetti cake topped with confetti icing!! And to follow tradition we used our champagne flutes from our wedding (but we had wine in them this year ha).

Our 4 Year Anniversary

Today is our 4 year anniversary! It's hard to believe that just 4 years ago today we were spending the day with our friends and family at the Orange Tree Golf Resort. It's fun to think back about all the events that happened before and after the wedding. The day before our wedding all the ladies spent the day get massages and relaxing at the Camelback Spa and Blake says he can't remember what the guys did (it obviously didn't make a big impression ha). Then we all met up at The Chart House for our rehearsal dinner. I still hadn't finished all of the seating cards so after dinner Amanda and I went back to our townhouse to get those suckers done. I remember we were both so tired that Amanda fell asleep on the floor in the office as we waited for them to finish printing. HAHA But of course it being the night before our wedding I couldn't sleep that well anyways, I was way to excited.

The day of the wedding us ladies got ready in a suite at the resort. There is nothing more exciting then when a girl puts on her wedding dress the day of her wedding. I still remember the moment! I'm not gonna lie sometimes I think about getting my wedding dress out of the preserved box it sits in to put it on just one more time.

Our wedding went perfect. I mean there were those moments of things not going exactly as planned but I didn't care as long as at the end of the day Blake and I were married. I wouldn't want to change anything that happened that day. It was a fun day of celebrating, eating, talking and tearing up the dance floor with our friends and family. Valentine's Weekend

We had a busy but fun Valentine's weekend. It started Friday night with our Pastor Larry and his wife Gina having all of the couples that he has married over for dinner for our annual Valentine's night. It is always such a good time of fellowship. It's such a blessing to all of us couples to know that our Pastor and his wife are always there for us and are intentional about spending quality time with us. Each year it's fun to see the group grow, this year there were 3 new babies and then Zach & Mara were the newest married couple. We of course had to take a group picture. (Fischer was asleep in their guest room when we took this picture and Lance & Amanda weren't able to come last minute)

Then on Sunday at church they had every couple who has had a baby in 2009 and 2010 come up on stage for a special blessing. There were 18 babies born at our church in 2009 and so far in 2010 can you believe it? We were there for both services so in between the services they hosted a breakfast for us so we could sit and talk together. So it was fun to start are Valentine's morning at church celebrating with all of our friends and new babies.

Fischer got some fun, special Valentine's gift from both grand parents. He absolutely loved this big stuffed bear.

Now I have to brag about my husband. He had planned such a special surprise. He had coordinated to have his parents come over to our house to watch Fischer while we went out for dinner and a movie. I had NO idea!! When his parent showed up at our house I totally thought they must have been on our side of town and wanted to just stop by to say hi. So not really thinking anything I sat down (I was in my sweats) and started talking to them. Then that is when Blake told me we were going to dinner and a movie. He took me to Chili's (one of my favorite restaurants) and then we went and a saw Valentine's Day. It was a cute, funny movie. It was so special because this was our first date night just the two of us since Fischer was born. We normally don't to do much for Valentine's Day because our anniversary is just a few days later, so needless to say I was so surprised. So to remember the night even though it was just Chili's I wanted to take a picture after dinner.

Super Bowl 2010

I wasn't really cheering for a specific team this year in the Super Bowl since the Cardinals were out pretty early. But always looking for any reason to have friends and family over we decided to host a little super bowl party at our house. Who doesn't want to just sit and munch on yummy food and watch funny commercials for a couple of hours? My favorite commercial was an E-Trade commercial with those cute babies.

Fischer is 5 months old and how is it that we have forgotten already how little he was when he was born. Last week when we went to the hospital to meet little Cody Place it made us reminisce about our little boy. When we were holding little Cody we joked that if felt like we were holding air! HA Fischer just had a 5 month shot only appointment last Friday and they weighed him and he's now 17.7 lbs. Can you believe it?!?! He officially has doubled his birth weight! It just amazes me that he has grown so quickly. Just when he hits a new stage I feel like it can't get any better but yet it does. We still have many more first's to experience in his first year. Since time doesn't stop (sometimes I wish it did) we are trying to treasure and enjoy every moment.

As a side note you will probably see more posts like this because I'm learning about myself that I like to look back and see how much Fischer has changed. Maybe this is something common with all mom's or maybe it's just me. But there is something so special to me to see how God is growing our little boy.

Uncle Blake & Aunt Alison!!!

Doesn't that have the best ring to it?!?! Uncle Blake and Aunt Alison!! I think it does! We are so excited for Lance & Amanda. Amanda is due September 15th, just a few weeks after Fischer's birthday. We are so happy for them and know that they are truly going to be the best parents. And the best part is that Fischer and his cousin are going to be so close in age. Oh all the fun times we will all have ahead!

And yes she did choose to be pregnant through the summer but coming from experience it's not that bad. We will just have to carry on our tradition of lounging in the Tramonto pools. Last summer while I was pregnant we would pack up our coolers (with non-alcoholic drinks of course) and meet up at the Tramonto pool almost nightly. I can't wait :)

Welcome Baby Cody Place

Our dear friends Ryan & Claire Place now have a new addition to their family. Cody Warren Place was born 1/26/10 by c-section at 12:15am, weighing 7lb 11oz and 20 inches long. We were able to go visit them in the hospital today. Cody is such a cutie! Ryan and Claire are going to be the best parents. We are so excited to watch our little boys grow up together.

I woke up this morning and my mommy brought me downstairs. She changed my diaper we went and woke up daddy and fed my puppies. All in all it seemed to start like a normal day but little did I know...

It was breakfast time and instead of our normal routine mommy stuck me in this chair I'd never seen before. And I knew then it wasn't going to be a normal morning.

Mommy sat across from me and had a bowl filled with something I didn't recognize. There was no way that stuff in the bowl was going to be my breakfast. But before I could say anything, mommy had stuck a spoon full of the mush in my mouth. I tired to spit it out but she kept catching it on my chin and insisting that I eat it. There is no way that this stuff could be good for me.

After awhile I started to get the hang of what was going on. I still didn't totally like it but I thought I'd give it a chance.

I'll put up with this once but I hope they never serve it to me again.

Fischer's 4 Month Appointment

Fischer had his 4 month doctor appointment. He is one healthy and growing boy. He got 1 shot and 1 oral vaccine and he was so good. Here are his stats:

Can you believe that it's already 2010!?!?! I can't!!! It's crazy to think that about 1 year ago I found out I was pregnant! How fast time flies. This new years Blake worked so I packed up Fischer and the puppies and headed to Lance and Amanda's. We spent the night cooking, hanging out by the firepit and just lounging. Then the next morning when Blake got off work he headed over to have breakfast with us. It was a fun and very relaxing new years!

The puppies LOVED hanging out together for the day.

We have a roller

We officially have a roller. Fischer is now rolling from his stomach to his back. He acts like he wants to roll from his back to stomach but hasn't quite done it yet. But soon enough he'll be rolling all around. He now also is sleeping on his side (I've peeked in on him a few times at night). We have had to stop swaddling him at night because he's turned into such a mover. There's been times when I've gone up at night and he had completely turned around in his crib, so his head is facing the totally opposite direction. Everyone keeps telling me that once they start moving they don't stop to just enjoy these next few months while he's still not moving much. :)

Fischer's First Christmas

We had a great and very crazy Christmas this year with Fischer. It was a wonderful time to spend with family and friends. But foremost it was a great time to sit down and thank God for sending his Son to be born to live here on this Earth.

Here's a quick run down of our Christmas adventure this year!

We started the Christmas season by lighting the Advent candles on the 4th Sunday in Advent in front of our church. What a special time it was to do as a new family and acknowledge Christ as we celebrated His PEACE on that Advent sunday.

This is Grammy & Papa (Blake's parents) with Fischer after the Christmas Eve service at church. Fischer was so good during the service, it was right in the middle of his nap and then time to eat. He really enjoyed all the songs and lights to look at. He's a Robinson for sure with the way he LOVES music.

We of course had to go see Santa who was at the Anthem outlets. We waited in line for 45 mins behind many children crying and scared of Santa. Fischer could have cared less about Santa (which I was happy about because after waiting for 45 mins I wasn't sure how he would act).

We celebrated Christmas with Blake's family on Christmas Eve Eve (since Blake worked Christmas Eve). We started the night with opening gifts for Fischer before he went to bed. He loved every moment of it. Then we ate dinner and opened our gifts after he went to bed.

Fischer with his Aunts & Grammy. He got his own stocking this year :) As you can see he's holding some plastic keys that he got which he loved. Isn't that always how it works, they end up liking the cheapest toy!

His big gift was an exersaucer. It took Uncle Glenn reading directions to Uncle Bus and Papa to put it together.

Once put together he was fascinated with all the fun toys. His feet just barley touched the ground so I'm sure that soon enough he'll be on the move in this thing.

We started Christmas morning with breakfast at Fischer's great grandparents house. It's been a tradition ever since I can remember that we have eaten Christmas breakfast with them. So it was fun to carry on that tradition with Fischer.

We then went back to Alison's parents house to see what goodies Santa brought! :) Fischer got tons of new clothes and our big gift was a off-road stroller that also turns into a trailer that attaches to a bike. We are so excited for him to get a little bit bigger so we can start up our bike rides again. Oh and he also got a helmet to wear when he rides in the trailer.

Yep he got tired very quickly Christmas day. As you can see in this picture as he was crying. He and Blake (who was up all night the night before at work) went to go take a long afternoon nap before dinner.

Uncle Brian got him this very cute hat!!! He looks like such a stud in his new hat!

The other side of the family came over for dinner. So Fischer got to see his other great grandma.

So as you can image it was a VERY long day and Fischer had his moments of being over tired which he showed by crying. But he was such a trooper. And we all had a great first Christmas with him. I had to post this picture of him at the end of the night. This was right before we headed home. Normally he has a grin ear to ear when flying through the air, nope not this day. His face and droopy eye's shows how tired he was. He was alseep before we even backed out of my parents driveway.
